Batteries, Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis
Calorimetry is widely used in research and battery development to assess quality and safety. Measure heat generation and heat transfer in battery cells, modules, and packs, to support thermal management, calorimetry studies, and safety validation.
gSKIN® heat flux sensors enable non-invasive battery calorimetric measurements, delivering instant and direct data with sensitivity down to 0.03 W/m² (e.g. 0.3 J/m² in 10 seconds).
Material Characterization
gSKIN® heat flux sensors are used for thermal material characterization, including aerogels and phase change materials. Evaluate the thermal behavior of materials such as insulation, composites, foams, and thermal interface materials by directly measuring heat flow through the sample.
Reliable heat flux measurement enables accurate assessment of insulation performance, and thermal storage and release characteristics for optimal material integration.
Heat Transfer and Flow
Heat fluctuations occur due to temperature gradients caused by environmental or operational changes and are present in all systems. Measure heat losses, cooling performance, and thermal gradients in systems where understanding heat transfer is critical for design validation and optimization.
gSKIN® heat flux sensors enable continuous, real-time monitoring of thermal fluctuations with high measurement precision, supporting accurate control of temperature gradients.
Energy and Extreme Environments
gSKIN® technology is used in demanding applications and extreme environments, enabling non-invasive and accurate measurements. Use heat flux sensors in demanding applications such as solar energy, aerospace, vacuum testing, and harsh environmental conditions where reliable heat transfer data is required.
Our robust sensors support fast solar radiation measurements, heat flux sensor R&D, and operation in extreme conditions, including outer space.
